Rochester Art Center is committed to art education and welcomes internship applications from college and university students and recent graduates.  We welcome applications as well from highly qualified high school students.  Applications are always being accepted.

Our internship program allows interns to develop an extensive understanding of the operation of a non-profit contemporary art organization; knowledge that can prove crucial when applying for post-graduate work or for future employment.

RAC offers internships in each of our departments – administration, curatorial, development, education, events, facility, marketing, and visitor services.  Based on the Internship Application and a personal interview, we work with applicants to determine where they best fit, though many times interns work cross-departmentally.

Internships – which are an unpaid position– can be applied for academic credit at the high school, college, and graduate level.  RAC requires a minimum commitment of five hours per week to insure interns are receiving a complete experiential education.

To apply, complete the internship application here. Contact Sheila Dickinson, Interim Curator of Art & Public Programs at 507-282-8629 or with any questions.
