From the South: Turn right onto 2nd Street SE / Go East / Continue East on 2nd Street until it “Ts” at Civic Center Drive / Rochester Art Center is directly in front of you.
The Rochester Art Center is conveniently located in downtown Rochester, offering an abundance of parking options.
Mayo Civic Center Ramp
From May 1 – May 31 the Mayo Civic Center Ramp is closed for maintenance. See additional parking options.
The Mayo Civic Center parking ramp allows easy access to the Art Center via skyway. The ramp entrance is located on 1st Avenue, west of Civic Center Drive, attached to the Rochester Public Library. Handicap parking is available and discounted when paying with an attendant. Elevators are located on both sides of the ramp with skyway access on the 2nd floor. This ramp is FREE when parking for less than an hour, FREE after 5pm, and FREE on weekends.

- Metered parking is available on city streets near the Art Center. Meters are enforced 8am-5pm Monday –Friday. Meters are FREE after 5pm on weekdays, FREE all-day Saturdays, and all-day Sundays, and FREE on major Holidays unless otherwise listed.
The Rochester Art Center is accessible to ALL. We are fully wheelchair and stroller accessible. Wheelchairs, if needed, are available from the Mayo Civic Center Box Office. Handicapped parking is available in the Mayo Civic Center Parking Ramp. Marked accessible parking spaces are available in all Rochester public parking ramps. A few designated accessible parking spots near Mayo Field on the Center Street Bridge. Up to 4 hours of parking, with the exception of 30 minute meters, is permitted to vehicles with state issued disability plates or permits.
If assistance is required, the Rochester Art Center will make arrangements to accommodate the circumstance. Please call us at 507-282-8629 if you will be visiting and need assistance. RAC staff will be happy to meet you at the front of the Civic Center to assist you in getting to the front doors or special arrangements can be made.
Service animals are welcome.
Bike racks are available on Riverview Plaza in front of the Rochester Art Center.
