1st Thursdays | Adult Classes and Workshops
RAC offers year-round adult classes and workshops taught by experienced educators and professional artists. Access to world-class exhibitions provides inspiration for studio exploration. The adult program includes classes in drawing, life drawing, acrylic painting, oil painting, printmaking, mixed media, carpentry, critique, poetry, spoken word, creative writing and more.

2nd Thursdays | RACtalk
RACtalk brings together thinkers and creatives through an offering of lectures, discussions, talks and forums in which a wide variety of perspectives are presented by musicians, writers, cultural historians, curators, artists, architects, historians and critics. RACtalk is meant to inspire a rich conversation between speakers and the audience.

3rd Thursdays | Open Mic at RAC
In collaboration with C4, Open Mic at RAC is an all ages, all abilities open mic in the long tradition of coffee house folk music tradition. We welcome performers of all levels who sing, play instruments (acoustic – electronic), write and perform poetry, spoken word, essayists and all other performing artists who seek and audience. Coffee will be available for purchase from our friends at Cafe Steam.
4th Thursdays | Creative Development Series (CDS)
CDS is an initiative aimed at providing support for emerging creatives, extending beyond studio and classroom. CDS comprises workshops, talks and events that provide creatives insight into the realities of an artistic career, addressing both the practical and theoretical problems facing artists, authors, poets, musicians and performers in the present day.
Creatives will learn how to build portfolios and websites, photograph work, author artist statements and bios, edit prose and poetry, apply for grants and participate in an artist resource fair.

Every Thursday | Life Drawing Rochester
Life Drawing Rochester will meet regularly on Thursday evenings in the Rochester Art Center with a variety of models. Feel free to bring your own charcoals, water colors or any other materials you like to work with. The session is untutored.
After each session we, informally, review each others’ work and then generally go for a drink at a local watering hole. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly; all are welcome regardless of experience or ability.
Feel free to bring your own adult beverages, we’ll supply the ice and glasses.
