D.C. Mangum, Jr. Scholarship Program Information

The purpose of the Rochester Art Center’s D.C. Mangum Jr. Scholarship Program is to provide support to youth with financial need who desire to participate in the Art Center’s Total Arts Day Camp program. The Scholarship Program encourages access, inclusion, and diversity in our summer camp.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, as funds are available and at the Rochester Art Center’s discretion. Scholarships are allocated on a first come, first served basis to those applicants meeting the eligibility guidelines. Applicants will need to reapply annually for the scholarship.

The scholarship program is made possible by generous contributions to the D.C. Mangum Fund, honoring the extraordinary life and legacy of community leader and former RAC Board member, D.C. Mangum Jr. D.C. Mangum was an outstanding pillar of compassion, leadership, and kindness in our community. The Art Center was privileged to have him share all his strengths and gifts with us as a Board Member from 2010-2015.

For questions regarding the application process, please email Abby Gilmore, agilmore@rochesterartcenter.org.
