The Rochester Art Center has opportunities for volunteers, interns, and artists. Artists are encouraged to participate in the RAC2 Local Artist Exhibition Series or the 3rd Floor Emerging Artist Series. Job opportunities are posted as positions are announced.

A docent is a trained volunteer interested in sharing their knowledge and passion for art. Docents conduct tours of the exhibitions for visitors. The Rochester Art Center now offers an intensive 6-month training program and ongoing training with each exhibition cycle that provides an overview of modern and contemporary art history, teaching methods and public speaking. Gain valuable museum experience while assisting in one (or more) of several departments including: administration, development, education, events, exhibitions, facility, marketing, and visitor services.
