Spring Catalyst

Creatives will have the opportunity to meet and talk with grant makers, The overwhelming success of our first resource fair last December made it quite clear that southeastern Minnesota is in desperate need of artist resources. This hunger for an arts ecosystem made a second installation on Saturday 22 April a no-brainer.
 
representatives from exhibition/performance venues, curators and a variety of other arts organizations, all available to assist them with advancing their craft.
 
Panel discussions, workshops and guest speakers will round out the day. Those in attendance will leave better prepared to advance their careers and aware of new opportunities to contribute to the growth and vitality of their communities.

Tastes Like Paint (TLP) is Rochester Art Center’s teen art group that participates in a variety of activities including visits to local contemporary art galleries, museums, and organizations; discussion of contemporary artists’ practices with local artists, curators, and arts professionals; and the production of unique artworks. The mission of TLP is to foster a community of young artists, championing the importance of contemporary art to inspire and engage people. The group creates a welcoming and inclusive environment for teens to feel confident in creative expression.

Life Drawing Rochester

Life Drawing Rochester will meet Thursday evenings in the Rochester Art Center with a variety of models. Feel free to bring your own charcoals, water colors or any other materials you like to work with. The session is untutored.

After each session we, informally, review each others’ work and then generally go for a drink at a local watering hole. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly; all are welcome regardless of experience or ability.

BYOB
Feel free to bring your own adult beverages, we’ll supply the ice and glasses.

COST
$10 non-members
$5 members
