Participants will be guided through a visual meditation technique designed to awaken, connect, and cultivate one’s innate creativity. The workshop will consist of an introduction to the meditation technique, a warm-up automatic writing exercise, a short, gentle movement sequence to prep the body for meditation, followed by a 20-minute meditation practice, and wrapping up with an automatic creative exercise. Â
Meditation props and drawing/writing supplies will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own. Recommended props: yoga mat and block, yoga/Mexican blanket, journal/sketchbook, pen/pencil/colored pencils, etc. Loose fitting clothing recommended.
All ages and abilities are welcome, no experience is needed. Not recommended for children under the age of 12 (Little bodies need to move, we will be lying completely still for at least 20 minutes.)
