Join us for an engaging morning of learning and dialogue as part of the NAACP Rochester Branch Black History Month Series. This free event features a screening of the PBS documentary Skin Deep, co-written by Prexy Nesbitt and Marian Marzynski, which explores the struggle against legal, institutionalized racism in the United States and South Africa from the 1950s to the 1990s.

Through powerful interviews and stories, Skin Deep highlights the bravery of individuals who fought against segregation and inequality, creating monumental change. Following the film, a panel discussion will delve deeper into the themes of the documentary, focusing on human rights, racial justice, and actionable steps toward a more equitable future.

This event is open to everyone. Bring your curiosity, questions, and passion for change as we reflect on the lessons of history and inspire action in our community.

We look forward to seeing you there!
